What is your go-to brand for vacation wear?
Of course it’s J.Crew! I also like to mix and match vintage pieces, like jeans and jackets, and I often borrow from my husband’s wardrobe—Wrangler shirts, blazers, scarves—and even pick pieces from my oldest son’s T-shirt collection for a simpler look.
What’s your favorite travel bag right now?
My go-to travel bag is the aluminum Away carry-on, which is covered in stickers from all the places I’ve been to, making it both practical and personalized.
Do you have a travel dressing formula?
I always wear baggy vintage Levis—no way Leggings or sweatshirt – Pair with a boyfriend jersey T-shirt and an oversized V-neck cashmere sweater. I pair it with a cashmere bandana or silk scarf, cashmere socks, and then finally ballet flats or cowboy boots, and a jacket that I’ll eventually wear on the go.
What are your non-negotiables on a flight?
When I travel I always wear a face mask to keep my skin hydrated, and of course, comfy cashmere socks.
Team travel scarf or travel sweater?
Both! Covering my neck and chest is crucial, and layering gives me the flexibility to deal with hot or cold airplanes.
What is your holiday beauty product MVP?
Even though I always take it with me when I travel, my beauty products take up a lot of space. There’s no better accessory than moisturized, healthy skin and hair, especially after flying and braving the elements, including cold and snow. I cannot travel without Biologique Recherche Masque Biofixine. I use it almost every day when I travel. Overall, I love their products and keep their Serum Erythros and Crème Biofixine on hand.
When I travel to cold places, I have to wear face oil. I absolutely love Mutha body oil and facial oil. In addition to my day and night routine, I keep this in my purse and use it a few times on the plane. For my hair, I travel with my Mason Pearson mini brush, a travel size of Oribe Supershine moisturizer, and Oribe Gold lust hair oil.

Do you have a strategy for approaching accessories?
I brought the clothes that I currently wear the most. New pieces are often overlooked, so I stick to staples: necklaces, my wedding band, all gold in the winter. I always pack them in my jewelry roll, which is so practical for traveling.
Travel Steamers: Yes or No?
I try to keep things simple and low-key. I didn’t bring a steamer but will use one at the hotel if needed. For certain items, like shirts, I’ll embrace some wrinkles or hang them outside the shower so the steam can smooth them out. I roll my clothes often in the summer without worrying about wrinkles; in the winter I fold them carefully and let any creases disappear with a little steam.
What’s your most-worn vacation item?
Most recently it’s been the J.Crew Brushed Italian Cashmere Sweater from American Ski & Snowboard. I’m also super excited about the cozy sweater puffer and of course my ski socks – every piece in the collection is so good and I want them all!
