It’s no big secret that Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams make a cool couple. Still, the actor and singer have kept their relationship extremely private since they began quietly dating in 2024, choosing to cultivate their romance away from the public eye. Yes, paparazzi have spotted them together, but never on an official red carpet. That all changes tonight: Mescal and Abrams join forces to take the 2026 BAFTAs and proudly repeat them. (They even cheekily kissed.)
Call it their official hard launch tonight. Earlier this week, Mescal and Abrams did Marking their first public appearance together, at a film screening running man In London. The two stars wore matching dad hats and posed for a casual photo with Sir Paul McCartney himself. (It’s fitting, considering Mescal will play the legendary member of the Beatles in an upcoming biopic.) But tonight’s BAFTA moment felt more compelling — just the two of them, their love, and, of course, two elegant looks worthy of a red carpet.

Let’s break down their couple looks. A Chanel girl, Abrams wore a look from Matthieu Blazy’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection, which launched in New York in December. This chiffon dress features beaded floral embroidery and jeweled trim. It feels very formal and perfect for the evening. Mezcal, meanwhile, went for the classics in a black tuxedo and white collarless shirt—adding a modern twist to a timeless menswear look, right down to his stylish little brooch.
Their looks are cohesive and in sync without being too matching—a difficult balance to strike. If this is their first look at their Hollywood awards season couple style, they’re certainly off to a good start. The question is…now that it’s out in the open, will they follow it up with the Actors Awards or the Oscars? We certainly hope so. There is no turning back now.
