Yangon – Defense and Security Council spokesman Major General Zaw Min Tun said Aung San Suu Kyi is in good health.
On January 24, General Zaw Min Tun inspected the drug manufacturing sites found in Tin Pao and Myint Lam towns for the second time. He made inquiries to international embassy attachés and diplomats as well as local and foreign media, and then departed from the airport near Pyin Oo Lwin to answer some media questions about Aung San Suu Kyi’s health.
Major General Zaw Min Tun said: “I want to say three things about this. First, Aung San Suu Kyi’s health is good. Second, regarding Aung San Suu Kyi’s health, we have experts from the Ministry of Health and experts from the Armed Forces Medical Team who are providing help and care to her. When it comes to medicine, we are always conducting tests. She is in good health.”
Third, Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson of the National Defense and Security Council, said that Aung San Suu Kyi’s case is more of a criminal case than a political case. She has been accused of bribery and other crimes, so the legal process will continue.
