Just a few days ago, Christian Allaire predicted that in 2026 celebrities and stylists would return to the glamor of Old Hollywood. The Golden Globes red carpet has proven him right time and time again, as have some of fashion’s oldest brands. Jackie Tohn’s rosette dress winked at Charles James, while Robin Wright’s Ralph Lauren dress seemed straight out of a ’30s movie. During that era – and the 1950s being by far the most talked about decade – most screen stars stuck to the color scheme of classic movies – black and white.
