During these dark, cold days of winter, it’s natural to dream about your next vacation—and by 2026, there will be a plethora of new hotels available, opening on (almost) every continent. Antarctica is a little trickier, but we do have the next best thing: In October, Silversea Cruises will finally open the Cormorant Hotel at 55 South Puerto Williams in Chile, the world’s southernmost city and the gateway to the Great White South.
Elsewhere, there are a raft of hotel openings across Italy, with highlights including the Orient Express Venezia in a pink 15th-century palazzo in Venice, and Castel Badia in the Dolomites, a region that will attract the world’s attention when the Winter Olympics kick off in February. Additionally, hotels are opening in some far-flung corners of Europe, such as the innovative new wellness resort Eha in Estonia and the ultra-stylish Casa Bonavita. In Malta, a centuries-old family home was renovated by the founder of The Rug Company.
There’s plenty to keep your eye on stateside, too: The beloved Auberge Collection is about to open The Knox in Dallas, with dramatic decor by Martin Brudnizki, while the venerable ultra-luxury hotel group Aman is making its debut in Mexico with the intimate 18-room resort Amanvari in Baja California. Whether you’re looking for inspiration for your next getaway or just want to enjoy an alternative trip on a cold winter night, Vogue’s pick of the 44 most exciting hotels opening in 2026 will dazzle you.
