Lucia Jost’s Words and Images
” This summertime, as in the past, I invested my day at Sommerbad Kreuzberg, passionately referred to as Prinzenbad.
There, I photographed girls that, like me, picked to invest the summertime in this renowned Berlin exterior swimming pool. To me, Prinzenbad is not simply a swimming pool, yet a location filled with memories: memories from my childhood years and a variation of Berlin, which existed prior to the matcha cappucino, Harry Styles and useless rental fee.
No place else can stimulate my extreme sensation and fond memories for summertime, like a team of ladies hing on the sunlight in the general public pool. There are chatter and giggling, discussions concerning occupations, children and companions. Swimming with good friends resembles flexibility for me. This brought me back to those many six-week college vacations – unlimited relationships, oily fingers of french fries, chlorine in the eyes and the odor of sun block.
