Her performance schedule may have been packed this year, but this week, Lambe took a breather and enjoyed a different experience: attending her first fashion show. Last night in New York City, Lambe was sitting front row at Louis Vuitton’s Resort 2027 collection, which designer Nicolas Ghesquière opened at the Frick Museum uptown. (Vuitton as your first show? Not bad.) “When the invitations went out, I was so surprised that I had to ask my team if they were sure this was real,” Lambe said. “I’m so excited to be attending and so lucky to be invited into the fashion space.”
Unsurprisingly, the show lived up to expectations: Lambe’s favorite part of the show was seeing Ghesquiere’s unique take on fashion spanning decades. “I really enjoyed the journey throughout the show through regions and decades, almost like a mini-collection within a collection,” said Lambe, who also enjoyed the show’s score. “It was such a fun way to kick off the show in an alternative way, starting with Peaches’ legendary song ‘The Boys Wanna Be Her.’ Plus, I really like how some of the models gave a nod to Alyssa Liu’s halo hair.” Meanwhile, her favorite look from the collection was the sport-chic-leaning ensemble. “They feel like they reflect New York through the lens of sports, specifically boxing,” Lambe said. “They remind me a lot of movies angry bullbecause they feel they have entered that period. “
However, her own VIP outfits are less sports-inspired and more stylish and powerful. Lambe donned a leather skirt and custom black cape by Vuitton, paired with a monogrammed bag and ankle boots. “When I was fitting for the show, the only thing I knew I wanted was something intense,” Lambe said. “It was unexpected and something different for me. When I put the cape on and looked in the mirror, I was fascinated by it.”
