As the 2026 Cannes Film Festival kicks off in France this week, Hollywood’s best stars are arriving on the Croisette to promote their latest projects. While there are plenty of can’t-miss movies on the list — starring stars like Sandra Wheeler, Scarlett Johansson, and Huo Yan — the red carpets are just as compelling, and sometimes even more so than the movies themselves. Over the next two weeks, 2026 Cannes Film Festival jury members such as Ruth Negga, Demi Moore and Chloe Zhu will be donning their best eveningwear — and just days later, Negga has already proven her worth this Style stars to watch.
Styled by Karla Welch, Negga has always been a standout on the red carpet, always opting for looks that balance old Hollywood glamor with modernity and freshness. That’s certainly been the case with Negga’s performance in Cannes so far. She kicked off the festival this week by attending her first jury photo wearing a white satin suit designed by Celine. Pair a twisted cropped top and wide-leg pants with cage-heeled sandals and stylish metal-framed sunglasses. This look can only be described in one word: cool.
For the opening, Negga changed into a dress more suitable for the evening: the actor wore a Dior Couture gown made of hammered green satin, edged with black lace and decorated with long fringes made of thread, ribbons and beads.
