The 2026 Met Gala may have taken place last Monday, but stars continued to exude Met energy on the red carpet this week. Considering this year’s Met theme is focused on exploring body-related fashion, you could say the same ethos prevails over the next few days: A-listers have chosen solid, structural shapes for this week’s events, all of which greatly enhance the forms underneath.
Of course, many of the week’s best looks also stemmed from the numerous Met after-parties that took place in New York. For example, singer Tate McRae chose a sheer gold minidress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin that intentionally revealed her bra and briefs underneath. Puff puff puff. Connor Storrie’s Saint Laurent suit also had a sexy twist, with a built-in cape that exposed his chiseled chest without a shirt.
But it’s not just Met-related parties that celebrate body-hugging clothing. At the BFI Fellowship event in London, Cate Blanchett appeared in a Maison Margiela black gauze suit that was both provocative and dignified. Diane Krueger went for a more minimalist approach in a feathered Erdem dress at the New York City Spring Ballet Gala. Bow sleeves and pastel rainbow hues? Name a better spring dress.
