Speaking of the 2026 Met Gala, host committee member Teyana Taylor seemed to be having a great time. When we spoke earlier in the day, the singer, songwriter and actress was getting a massage and thinking about her evening plans.
Step One: Get into Charm. Taylor was recently announced as the newest Revlon spokesperson, which she describes as a “dream come true.” Tonight, makeup-wise, she wanted something soft and glossy, specifically Revlon Super Glossy Lipstick, painted by makeup artist Yeika Oliva. When it came to the eyes, Oliva described the look as a “smoky eye that matched the dress,” which, of course, included her signature winged look. Taylor loves beauty, always has. “My first memory of Revlon was when I was a little girl,” she said. “We’ve all seen the commercials, but I never thought it would be me.”

Step two. “Put on my wig,” Taylor said. “My hair was slicked back a little; it looked wet. I wanted to focus on my clothes and my mug.”
Step Three: Put on her custom Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann gown. “This outfit is always very, very important to me, especially tonight.” She described it as simultaneously revealing everything and revealing nothing. “When I move, it looks like it’s melting. I like to think of it as a ‘ghost of the body’ – it appears and disappears as I move.”
Step 4: Step on the Met Gala garden-style carpet and, of course, have fun. Mission accomplished.
