Behind the Scenes of Meta’s Met Gala 2026 Class Photo—With Kylie Jenner, Alex Consani, Chase Infiniti, and More

Mark is a fixture in the Met Gala ecosystem—whether it’s glamping up on the red carpet or being part of some of the liveliest party scenes around. But the historic hotel is also the backdrop for Meta’s annual class photo, taken each year before VIPs head to the museum five blocks north. The portrait was a high-fashion souvenir for the celebrity guests invited to sit at the Meta table at the fundraiser. 2026 lineup? Striking images of actors, athletes and musicians.

This year, one of the hotel’s suites was transformed into a still life similar to the work of a Dutch master. White calla lilies, delicate candle cutouts, and cream linens all create the perfect backdrop for this modern homage to a classic dining table. Each celebrity posed individually for the photographer, and then the images were expertly stitched together to create a piece worthy of a museum gallery.

First up is Naomi Osaka. Starting from scratch – Osaka Naomi’s feather. We see her flowing red feathers drift into the room, and then she appears on the doorframe, ready for her turn. The Grand Slam champion wore a custom two-piece suit by fashion designer Robert Wun that featured sculptural patterns. chapeau Go to the top to complete the moment.

After a while, “Here we are! Another year!” came a shout from the door frame. Eva Chen, head of fashion partnerships at Instagram and an industry darling, came for the portrait session. She wore a custom-made Klein blue plissé silk gown by Proenza Schouler. The eye-catching look features handcrafted buttonholes and fringing, and features a wide, asymmetrical train. All of this is the work of new creative director Rachel Scott, who watches from behind the set with a smile.

Next up in front of the camera was Instagram head Adam Mosseri, who chose a floral pantsuit from Kartik Research for his red carpet moment. “Oh, Adam, okay!” his wife, Monica, playfully said in a light blue robe and corset of the same color. After taking a few more photos, she joined him in front of the camera for a couple photo.

There was a brief lull, a brief moment to eat a few chips and a soda, but soon the room fell silent: Maluma was coming. The Colombian singer, songwriter and actor entered the set wearing a flawless sequined Tom Ford tuxedo and sparkling Bvlgari jewelry.
