The 2026 Met Gala is her third time attending, and Rosé is now ready for it all. The only thing that makes the deal even sweeter this year is that her friend Anthony Vaccarello of Saint Laurent serves as co-chairman of the host committee. “The first time I attended the Met was with Anthony. I was very nervous and anxious, but it was huge and I got to walk the carpet with my best friend and favorite designer,” Rosse told me Fashion. “The fact that he is co-chairing the committee this year makes the event even more exciting and meaningful. It feels great to support him in the presence of fashion and art.”
In 2026, Rosé delved into the history of art and fashion with the help of stylist Law Roach. Together they settled on a strapless black gown inspired by two different Saint Laurent collections: Spring 1998 and Spring 2002 Haute Couture. “We ended up choosing this very classic Saint Laurent look, and as we were researching, I learned that YSL had used this bird design a lot,” the singer said, referring to birdsIt’s a painting by Georges Braque on the ceiling of the Louvre. “It’s such an iconic image that Anthony even repeated it in his most recent collection and featured it on earrings.”
The only dilemma was where to place the bird pin made of Tiffany & Co. diamonds to complete her look, but that was solved once she tried the dress on. “I remember when we finally tried it on, I was struck by how well the dress fit and how perfectly the bird landed on Anthony’s design,” Rosse recalls. “The positioning of the diamond facing the beak and the shading of the silver and beads against each other are really beautiful.”
