Jenny Walton Feted Her New Book Jenny Sais Quoi with a Suite Celebration at The Carlyle

Everything Jenny Walton does is imbued with romanticism. In addition to her endless Prada archive, the illustrator, painter and Fashion The contributor is perhaps best known for her whimsical reflections on everyday life (think: a midweek breakfast table filled with Marchesi sweets and pastries.) in her new Monacelli/Phaidon tome Jenny Sais Quoi: An adventure in vintage and personal style, One finds an equally delightful collection of watercolors and essays that go a step beyond the usual coffee table book content to give us advice on how to live like Walton. Just don’t call it that guide.

“I didn’t want to write a guide anyway because it’s 2026 and you don’t want some ‘wear this’ or ‘do this’ rules, but I hope this book will get people thinking in a more creative way,” she told Fashion Cocktail party in the Presidential Suite of the Carlyle Hotel. Therefore, the project includes such things as trendy fashion, It asks readers to put on music, treat their wardrobe like a child’s makeup box, and Break away from the algorithm, This goes to show that it takes time and research to develop unique personal tastes outside of social media.

Walton was joined by many like-minded compatriots, including Christopher John Rogers, Tommy Tone, Leandra Medin Cohen and fashion magazine Lisa Aiken and Lilah Ramzi gathered in the living room to take in the sweeping views of Central Park and a cake in the shape of Walton’s dog Aurora, made by Lilli Maren.

Also in attendance was a charming group of waiters from the hotel’s famous Bemelmans Bar, who wore signature white coats and served martinis in the hotel’s art-etched glassware. The team at Vestiare Collective were also on hand, highlighting some of Walton’s own ready-to-wear and accessories in the room’s spacious walk-in wardrobe, from brands like Hermès, Chanel and Prada (of course!), which are now up for grabs on the website.

Walton will next give a lecture at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, where a new Schiaparelli exhibition will be held. She’s also about to take a jaunt to California as she prepares to move from Milan to Santa Barbara with fiancé Nick, although he’s known simply as “the plane driver” to her followers. The two met on a flight from New York to San Francisco last year, as if it were a romantic comedy chapter in Walton’s life, and it’s been love at first sight ever since. “We found this ’70s house on this quiet little cul-de-sac, and I thought, ‘Yeah, why not?'” Walton explains. “Let’s try a new adventure!”
