Michaela Coel is busy! Over the past few days, the actor has been promoting her two upcoming films, christopher family— in which she plays an art forger — and virgin mary— in which she plays a fashion designer opposite pop star Anne Hathaway.
Coel seemed to capture her character’s penchant for art and fashion, breaking away from the bland press tour look and opting for looks from trendy designers big and small.
Coel, designed by Nell Kalonji, kicked off the show on April 9 with a deconstructed Ferragamo skirt suit, with deconstructed buttons creating a clever pleating effect. The next day, she kept the energy going at Courrèges, pairing knee-length shorts with a draped asymmetrical T-shirt.
Later, Coel opted for a full Loewe look – a sky blue and Kelly green tank top, black leather logo pants and a structured black jacket.
After Loewe, Coel launched another American designer, Michael Rider, who caused a sensation in Europe. She played with proportions in a militaristic jacket; a cinched waist balanced exaggerated shoulders. She then embraced New York rising star Colleen Allen, wearing a draped tomato top and violet trousers from Fall 2026, paired with a velvet jacket.
