Nepal Prime Minister Shah cites social media as income source – Asia News Network

kathmandu – Prime Minister Balendra Shah and members of his cabinet have made their property details public, revealing assets ranging from real estate and equity to digital income and livestock.

According to information released by the Prime Minister’s Office and Council of Ministers on Sunday, Shah holds Rs 14.6 million in bank deposits. He lists digital content creation on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Spotify as his main source of income.

Shah has 4 million followers on Facebook, 1.2 million followers on YouTube and 500,000 followers on X.

The Prime Minister owns 1.2 plots of land in Dhanusa and 5 plots of land in Kathmandu. Nine other Bighas of Mahottari were imprisoned in the name of his father Ram Narayan Shah. His wife Sabina Kafle declared 190 tolas of gold and silver as ancestral property.
