This morning, the 2026 Vogue Vintage Market opened in downtown New York City, offering coveted vintage pieces from eBay and, in many cases, the wardrobes of designers and friends. Fashion. At the one-day event – organized by FashionApril cover star Doja Cat – Guests can find everything from iconic runway looks (Celine trench coat! Chloé horse print dress!) to ultra-rare shoes and bags. Outside, however, excited shoppers were having their own high-fashion moment: the line to get into the sale turned into a full-on street style spectacle, with fashion insiders and fans alike queuing up in their Saturday best.
Dignitaries including Emma Chamberlain, Paloma Elsesser and Shailene Woodley strolled in during an exclusive early access slot at 10 a.m., before the space opened to the ticketed public. Some attendees even hired professional line staff to ensure early access to the most coveted pieces.
Jennifer Meertens, who runs a handbag line, was the first shopper in line, grabbing a spot around 8:20 a.m. “This is my second time at Vogue Vintage Market and I’m just looking for anything that catches my eye,” she told us Fashion. “I had my eye on that long orange-blue Miu Miu coat from the ’70s. Last year, I found a great 2005 Michael Kors suit.”

The sale also attracted other antique sellers. For example, Pechuga Vintage’s Johnny Valencia and Priscilla Yael flew in from Los Angeles specifically for the event. “I hope to find great shoes—I’ve definitely got a shoe fetish,” quipped Valencia, who bought Marc Jacobs platforms and Tommy Hilfiger boots worn by Naomi Campbell at last year’s market. “I’m looking for fine jewelry, Chanel pieces, Dior vests — lots of mesh,” adds Yael. “We need to bring all the hot girl stuff back to Los Angeles.”
Many shoppers waiting in line sported bold, eye-catching looks, treating the queue as a runway. Fashion student Ellie Warnke wore head-to-toe clothing purchased on eBay, including a vintage Prada top, turquoise Gucci gloves, a checkered Sandy Liang skirt and Miu Miu pumps. “I came here last year and found a really beautiful Prada dress,” Warnke said. “I’m a vintage junkie. This time around, I’m looking for vintage Balenciaga or Dolce & Gabbana – I want to diversify my wardrobe because I tend to stick to the same brands.”
Ultimately, the Vogue Vintage Market proved to be more than just shopping; it was also a striking fashion moment. Judging by the number of shopping bags guests left with, it was a huge success. Here are more fashion shoppers lining up at the Vogue vintage market.
