Zara Larsson has been writing hit pop songs since the late 2000s, so it was surprising to hear that she was attending the Grammy Awards for the first time last night. The Swedish singer joins music’s biggest night as a buzzy nominee: She’s nominated for Best Dance-Pop Album for her hit album, midnight sun (You know the song, it’s all over the radio and TikTok right now).
“[It was a] Dreams come true! I was delighted and still am. “Larsson said Fashion. It was a night of many firsts for the singer: Not only was she nominated for Best Pop Dance Recording, but she also performed at the pre-show ceremony. “It’s a beautiful room filled with beautiful people, lots of friends and colleagues,” Larson said. “I was so nervous before this moment, but I felt so calm and relaxed. I’ll probably feel the same way on my wedding day.”
Naturally, Larson found sartorial inspiration for the night in Midnight Sun’s summery, millennium-chic vibe. Styled by Caterina Ospina, the star wore sunny couture looks by Kevin Germanier and jewelry by Swarovski. The shimmering yellow two-piece consists of an asymmetrical bra top and skirt and features a dramatic waist piece that mimics the sun’s rays. This is the perfect look to sing about skinny dipping with all your heart. Makeup artist Sophia Sinot, who created all of Larson’s vivid, glowing looks on tour, gave the singer sun-kissed golden glamor using a range of products from Maybelline New York.
“I’m inspired by the sun,” Larson said of her striking look. “The dress was handmade by a team of 12 beaders and 4 sewing technicians, highlighting the level of couture craftsmanship. All the beads used on the dress were upcycled: before being sewn by hand, they were carefully cleaned, sorted and sorted, giving new life to the existing materials.”
