Yigal Azrouël Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Season after season, Yigal Azrouël delivers a fusion of masculinity and femininity at his SoHo store. While styles have become predictable and sometimes stale, Azrouël’s sartorial experiments this season were a welcome change of pace from his Fall 2026 collection.

One highlight was a recurring homage to the tuxedo shirt, the best part of which he presented in a cropped black liquid silk shirt. The other is a black or white blazer with hand-stitched lapels. “It’s like old-school men’s tailoring,” he said. Perhaps most impressive was a draped silk dress made from a single piece of fabric, which the designer made tough with a removable leather collar. Azruel’s caring touch is always a welcome addition. One jacket has woven detailing tacked onto the lining—a thoughtful attribute only the wearer knows exists.

Azrouël specializes in outerwear, which is certainly in the spotlight this season. It’s not hard to imagine Brooklynites going for the rugged indigo Japanese denim jacket with gold stitching and a cinching waist tie. The same goes for the Matrix-style trench coat, whose leather is distressed just enough to create some depth. While these were classics, Azrouël’s outerwear also broke with tradition, replicating patterns from sweatshirts and denim jackets in butter leather.

Azruel is comfortable in his lane, but it’s nice to see him continue to innovate. Hopefully, he’ll see his successful experiment as a sign of greater action in the future.
