St. Jean Beach has a livelier scene, and popular spots like NAŌ Beach, Eden Rock, Nikki Beach, La Guérite and Gyp Sea are the best places to watch the crowds from morning to evening. Surfers tend to prefer Toiny and Lorient, while snorkelers prefer the calmer waters of Gouverneur and Petite Anse. At sunset, however, everyone heads to Shell Beach, famous for its millions of thumbnail-sized shells.

Dining at Le Tamarin feels like you’re in a tropical oasis, as if you’re in the jungle with glamorous guests dressed in sequins and feathers dining and playing backgammon on its grounds. The menu balances classic dishes with a French Caribbean twist, from bright ceviche to savory foie gras, and a variety of freshly caught fish. One non-negotiable: order the signature tamarini before heading out for the night.

Lottie
When it comes to St Barth’s and Le Ti, these two names are often the first ones that come to mind. The restaurant has been a fixture on the island since 1995 and is beloved for its bombastic, freewheeling energy. There’s even a dressing room in the back where guests are actively encouraged to lean in, dress up and have fun – it’s dinner theater at its best.
Kiki Mo
Kiki-é Mo is a beloved St. Jean cafe and all-day hangout just steps from the beach, serving fresh, healthy fare since 1995 – organic salads, vibrant bowls, fresh juices, smoothies, sandwiches and wraps, all made with local, seasonal ingredients. Whether you’re looking for a nutritious breakfast, a colorful lunch on the beach, or a light afternoon snack, this is one of the most popular and relaxing places to refuel on the island.
