Tiffany & Co. Hosted a Chic Toast For Golden Globe Nominee Amanda Seyfried at Chateau Marmont

As the party sat down to a delicious candlelight dinner of Caesar salad, burrata with pistachio pesto, petit filet mignon and branzino, talk turned to Seyfried’s final Golden Globe win in 2023. Dropout– She missed a ceremony. “How things have changed…” she reflected. “We do emerge from the pandemic, and as a society, that means we’re fully back up and running. I missed the opportunity to be on stage at the Golden Globes, which means a lot to me.” But somehow the fact that she’s facing the same moment again feels even stronger now. “I think it’s because I’m older and I’m more invested in this particular role,” she said. “I’m really enjoying this.”

The movie itself——Ann Lee’s Will— has become something of a loser this awards season. “People are watching this movie that Mona spent $10 million making in 34 days,” Seyfried said, pointing to the Norwegian director across the room. Shot in 70mm and featuring what audiences praised as “remarkable imagery” and a “striking” soundtrack, the film reimagines traditional Shaker hymns. The film also has a European press tour ahead of the Academy Awards in March. “The way I look at it, I have nothing to lose now. I can’t control anything. So you just have to count your damn chickens,” Seyfried said philosophically, before gleefully adding: “You know what? I have 19 chickens in my house.”

When dessert arrived, Fastvold raised a glass of wine. “Amanda is my dear friend and my eternal muse. As a director, it’s very rare to work with someone who decides to throw themselves into your arms with complete trust. This film is different, it’s bold, strange and challenging – and just like Amanda, it’s also incredibly fun and exciting.”

In a few hours, Seyfried will be at the Golden Globes. Then back to the farm, back to real life, back to those 19 chickens. In the meantime, she’s enjoying every minute—surrounded by the people who matter most, wearing Tiffany, and counting her blessings.
