Tibi Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear Collection

“I think it’s no surprise that everyone is in a nostalgia phase,” Amy Smilovic said at Tibi’s fall 2026 launch event in the Financial District, a stone’s throw from the New York Stock Exchange. Smilovic looked back to her past for fall 2026, using her time on Wall Street and her Carolyn Bessette Kennedy-inspired style of the late ’90s as starting points.

but you can never real Come home again. “Even if you go back, the essence of the place may not have changed: your clothes may not have changed, but you have,” Smilovich said. “Time moves on.” A series of questions guided the design process. “What are we passionate about? What do we want to inherit? How do we want to turn it into something new?” Some of her answers included pull-on stirrup pants with a low crotch in a sporty jersey; a long, streamlined coat; and a sheer plaid shawl that created the illusion of a ruffled shirt.

Modularity and versatility are also at the heart of Smilovic’s thesis. A soft, streamlined blazer can be worn as a jacket or shirt, while flannel bloomers with tapered ankles can be buttoned back for a less extreme silhouette, and a two-piece apron can be worn together or separately over pants. Even the shoes are well thought out. Take the stylish slingback pumps, for example, which come with an adjustable sternum-style strap so the wearer doesn’t have to go to the cobbler.

Smilovic is a pragmatic designer, and Tibi is no bland capsule wardrobe factory. Never one to shy away from eye-catching colors and designs, she ended the collection with a figure-hugging olive green skirt, finished with dramatic horsehair ruffles. “I know I’ll match it with a million things,” she said.
