The Prada Street Style Scene Was an Ode to Color—Recreate the Best Looks

Few fashion brands inspire such dedicated passion as Prada. Founded in 1913 as a Milanese leather goods studio and redesigned decades later by then-daughter Miuccia Prada, the brand embodies not only a woman’s vanity but also her intellect. As the saying goes, this is fashion for thoughtful women. Each season, we can count on Ms. Prada (now with her co-creative director Raf Simons) to reshape the conversation and set the tone for what we’ll want to wear next season and, more importantly, how we’ll wear it.

Of course, this influence is not limited to the catwalk, but also extends to the street style scene. Outside of the Milan shows, and especially outside of Prada’s headquarters, the effect cannot be ignored. This season, Prada fans are stepping out in full looks or splicing runway pieces into their existing wardrobes. It was a masterclass from the brand: irregular color combinations, skirtings, satins and quirky accessories appeared in front of the many showgoers. Below, see how they were worn and study Prada 101.
