Several plot developments mid-series caught me by surprise, and I gradually began to watch each episode with the undivided attention I usually have for a show devoted to several seasons. I won’t reveal the ending, but by the time you get there (Mubi will roll out episodes weekly in January), the question of whether Anna and Oscar can find their way to each other once and for all may seem as important as anything you’ve seen this year.
