“The Future Is Here”: Get to Know the LVMH Prize Semi-Finalists

Lii explores the intersection of architecture, forward-thinking silhouettes and functional wardrobes. Bold shapes are interpreted in tactile sporty fabrics and bright colors, breaking the boundaries between formal and sportswear, occasion and everyday.

Fashion: What is unique about your brand and perspective?

Lii is a dialogue between clothing and other media such as sound, film and art, and how these media influence the way we imagine clothing in our modern experience. The end result is garments with shapes that transcend functionality: silhouettes that mimic sculptures, textures that recall familiar sounds, and overall looks that evoke specific characters.

Fashion: What is the ultimate goal of your brand?

Longevity and creating something timeless have been our goals from the beginning. At the same time, it would be a privilege to create a brand that people feel challenges the concept of beauty and wearability, while always being relevant.

Fashion: How will the LVMH Prize help you achieve this?

Mentorship, dialogue and interaction with industry leaders who have made a lasting impression on fashion and art will be the most valuable rewards.

Fashion: How would you describe your brand in two sentences?

Maz is a multicultural fashion house and textile laboratory working at the intersection of fashion, textile art and structural innovation. We create sculptural, timeless garments through a purposeful process that ensures pieces are relevant, lasting and resonate globally.

Fashion: What is unique about your brand and perspective?

We design contemporary fashions with strong aesthetic clarity, architectural knitwear, complex loom structures, hybrid textile surfaces and conduct material research through our permanent textile laboratory. Our garments are designed based on proportion, balance and an in-depth knowledge of the female body, creating silhouettes that are protective, controlling and durable rather than seasonal. Through our 360-degree holistic sustainability process, we have established a transparent structure that coordinates design, education and production.
