I’ve never been nominated for an Oscar (or an Emmy, or a Grammy, or a Tony), but I can hazard a guess that getting ready for an awards show red carpet is a Production. The marathon awards show between the Gotham Awards in December 2025 and the Oscars in March 2026 will require a steady stream of ball gowns and tuxedos — but luckily, some of the events along the way are pretty chill. An example of this is today’s Oscar Nominees Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, a gathering for the lucky few vying for Hollywood’s highest honor.
Rose Byrne was the epitome of cool this afternoon, wearing Louise Trotter’s first Bottega Veneta Spring 2026 look: a brown tank top with straps that fell off her shoulders, a pair of black tapered high-waisted trousers and off-white mules. Does it fit her sensibilities? secret agentWagner Moura ditched the traditional suit in favor of a burgundy shirt and trousers, paired with a matching coat.
The looks were a bit of a departure from standard red carpet style, although many attendees opted for suits. emotional valueInga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, one of this season’s rising fashion stars, also chose Bottega, wearing a draped cream silk blouse and an oversized navy suit. Her co-star Elle Fanning also opted for a suit, but she opted for a feminine Givenchy style by Sarah Burton. Emma Stone, meanwhile, paired a tuxedo with a plunging lapel miniskirt.
Elsewhere, Jacob Elordi flouted fashion rules by pairing a black jacket with gray trousers and brown shoes, while Timothée Chalamet ditched neutrals entirely for an electric blue double-breasted suit.
Here, check out some of the coolest looks from the 2026 Oscar Nominations Luncheon.
