A week before the 2026 BRIT Awards, we started hearing buzz about Harry Styles’ red carpet look. It’s going to be really cool and it’s going to be womenswear focused and there’s going to be a very specific shoe moment. Readers, we’ll spend much of the next few days imagining what’s next for those ballet slippers at the Grammys. We would have shown you the mood board, but it’s already filed somewhere in the back of our minds with our coverage of this week’s Milan Fashion Week, which included Bella Hadid’s version of the Prada show and Maria Grazia Chiuri’s return to Karl Lagerfeld collars at Fendi. We don’t miss a beat!
So as the fall 2026 shows rumble around, it’s fair to say we’ve lost track of the reality of the inspiration Styles and his stylist Harry Lambert are bringing to the UK. Perhaps the unseen Jonathan Anderson ready-to-wear for Dior (his second womenswear show will be held in Paris on March 3)? Perhaps the rarest of Prada classics, worthy of Lambert’s eBay ambassador status? Eventually, Chanel sealed the deal.

The look—a black-and-white bouclé pinstripe jacket with matching trousers, and a light mint pinstripe cotton shirt (aka Look 39 from Chanel’s Métiers d’art 2026 collection, originally worn by Alex Consani)—is in line with the style direction of Harry’s latest album. Keep kissing. Disco, occasionally. Keyed by disco ball style album artwork Fashion Johnny Dufort’s favorite shows are equally saturated with color (think that mustard Miu Miu sweater and Prada bowling pin shirt and tie), full of humor (all those Elton John-adjacent sunglasses were sourced by General Eyewear Vintage), and especially partial to accessories deemed “feminine” (name another performer who can get men to flirt with mint green bow-tie Dior mules).
