Dutch field pants, mesh shirts, prairie dresses, and a floor-to-ceiling selection of cowboy boots are just a few of the Atlanta staples waiting to be found. Clothing Warehouse was opened by Jim Buckley in 1992 and is now home to fashionista Little 5 Points. Its red-brick exterior is hard to miss—go upstairs for women’s clothing and union-made dresses, then head downstairs to a room filled with brightly colored T-shirts—you’ll likely find plenty of Atlanta history among the 1996 Summer Olympics shirts. Additionally, if you want to hang out in the afternoon, its wholesale store is only a 15-minute drive from West Midtown.

There’s something for every thrift lover at the Mother Lode Antiques and Makers Market. Founder Lindsay Short’s background in real estate sales is reflected in the store’s collection of apparel, décor and merchandise. At the Fellows Vintage booth, you can find beach pajamas, bowling shirts and Edwardian tunics from the 1930s, or wedding dresses from the ’60s that look more like factory girls than Iron Pony brides-to-be. The hunt continues at Mother Lode’s sister location in the University City of Athens, opening in 2023.

Monet Brewerton-Palmer first acquired her love of wedding dresses from her grandmother, who was a shop dresser. Then, after shopping for her own wedding dress in 2014, eventually buying four, her interest (and personal collection) only grew. Today, Brewerton-Palmer offers brides a range of gowns from Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Catherine Rayner and more. Standouts include Jacques Heim’s 1959 one-one, a silk rose-covered Christian Dior piece for the romantics and a fur-trimmed Muriel Martin piece for the non-traditionalist.
