The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Went Strong and Sculptural

The Fall 2026 collection hit the runways at New York Fashion Week last week — and celebrities on the red carpet have been posing in their eye-catching designs. Celebrity meet-and-greets are packed these days, with A-listers like Angelina Jolie, Teyana Taylor and Bella Hadid showing up at events and premieres.

Best outfit of the week? Those famous names tend to have strong, sculptural looks. Whether it’s a sheer structure or a form-fitting bodice, the dress is meant to be worn to enhance the body underneath.

There are many ways to exercise naked. In New York, Anne Hathaway appeared at the Ralph Lauren show in a designer black high-neck sheer gown with a furry cape. Jolie attends the premiere of her new film in Paris high fashion In – yes, high fashion. A nude-effect Givenchy by Sarah Burton gown with silver sequin embroidery.

The architectural outline is also repeated on the steps. At the Costume Designers Guild Awards in Los Angeles, Jodie Turner-Smith chose a Marc Jacobs funnel-neck coat dress in this season’s trendy hue, cobalt blue. Taylor also turned up the drama in a fiery red Tamara Ralph gown, which had an architectural bodice that molded to her figure almost like a plaster cast.

As for this week’s more subtle winning look? That was Sarah Pidgeon, who channeled Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in a chic black Aflalo leather trench coat. (If you haven’t seen her in Ryan Murphy’s love storygo see it now. )
