Dressing for winter is tricky enough on its own, but dressing for the glamorous Hollywood red carpet is even harder more challenging. But this week’s Best Dressed stars prove it’s possible, and their winter design choices can still be impactful. From blazer gowns to winter flip-flops (more on that later), A-listers have pulled off some unexpected fashion wins.
The 2026 Sundance Film Festival kicks off in Park City, Utah, with plenty of snow-ready outfits that are still chic and cool. now Star Charli XCX was one of them, wearing a stylish Saint Laurent suit and tie, dramatically dragging a faux fur coat like a cape. Her co-star Alexander Skarsgard, meanwhile, opted for a casual Valentino cut and accessorized his look with a pair of Rockstud flip-flops (the antithesis of winter shoes). We love a man who leans into weird fashion tendencies.
In New York, a statement coat stands out in its own right. Rihanna in a tiger-print Alaïa coat, hosted by Teyana Taylor saturday night live Wearing a Balenciaga cropped leather top with matching opera gloves. These garments are all about keeping warm while still being fashion-forward.
As for the best throwback moment of the week? Go there Send help Star Rachel McAdams attends a Hollywood premiere wearing a vintage Pierre Cardin gown. The black silhouette, which features a beaded pattern on the shoulders and waist, still feels fresh and modern today.
