With less than a month left in awards season, lavish Hollywood awards shows are getting underway. This week, the 2026 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) celebrations are taking place in London, not to mention the Fall 2026 shows at London Fashion Week! A host of A-list stars stepped out in the British capital wearing their finest formalwear. Of course, the best-dressed stars of the week are those wearing eye-catching outfits. Powerful silhouettes made a big splash on the steps this week and were on repeat, with commanding looks (bodices! pointed shoulders) making a big impact.
At the 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles, Rose Byrne walked the red carpet in a Loewe gown with strategically placed ruffles that created a pop of color. Chic. Cynthia Erivo also made an appearance in bold hues, wearing a red leather Givenchy by Sarah Burton coat to the opening. Dracula Also in London was Michelle Yeoh, who wore a satin Dior gown to accept a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. (It’s about time she got one.)
Clean, sharp lines also prove that the best looks can be the most minimalist. In Berlin, Isabelle Huppert wore an all-white Balenciaga look, paired with a draped white top, opera gloves and cigarette pants. In Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra Jonas paired a leather Antoinette Messam bustier with a voluminous Who Decides War skirt, a take on pirate style that was her way of dressing. (She plays a bad pirate in the film.)
