Linda Levy, president of the Fragrance Foundation, believes this affordability is central to the appeal of body sprays, which adds to their ease of use and versatility. Autumne West, director of beauty at Nordstrom, says that because the fragrance is less concentrated, the body spray can be used as a light daily fragrance, a scent layer, or even a quick hair touch-up. “The expansion of the category provides room for more play, from fun and layerable products like Kopari, to more elevated, minimalist products like Salt & Stone, and even more luxurious products from legacy brands,” explains West.
