Global Consumer Price Index Highlights
Denmark ranks first with 89 points, followed by Finland with 88 points. Singapore, ranked third with 84 points, remains the best performing country in ASEAN. New Zealand and Norway tied for fourth with 81 points, and Sweden and Switzerland tied for sixth with 80 points. Luxembourg and the Netherlands tied for eighth with 78 points, and Germany and Iceland tied for tenth with 77 points.
Thailand (33) and Mongolia (31) still have low scores and have been on a steady downward trend since 2012, TI’s analysis said. In the case of Mongolia, declining scores are associated with weaker rule of law and accountability and increased restrictions on civic space.
The analysis noted that Thailand’s CPI score fell by 1 point compared to 2024, with Thailand’s position deteriorating relative to the global sector, reflecting a deterioration compared with other countries.
Looking at the component indicators used in the calculation of the CPI, the largest declines were concentrated in indices related to the views of investors and private sector operators, particularly those related to competitiveness in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook.
