Thai PM Anutin denies 300-seat deal, says no talks until EC confirms election results

Bangkok – Tuesday, Anutdin CharnvirakulThe Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs stated in the report Pippa RatchajipakarnThe Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister confirmed that the Bhumjaithai Party has finalized an agreement to form a 300-seat government. Anutin clarified that he had not discussed anything with Fifat, pointing to himself and saying: “This is the man who made the deal.”

Anutin went on to say that many election results in multiple constituencies are still being recounted and the Election Commission (EC) has issued announcements. He stressed that it was too early to discuss any deal at this stage.

Asked about concerns about alleged vote counting fraud and issues related to election barcode tampering, Anutin responded: “I don’t know.”

Asked if he still stood by his position that the prime minister should be voted out before discussing the position, Anutin said, “We need to wait until everything is settled. Right now, we can only estimate how many MPs we have. There is no point discussing anything with anyone if things are uncertain.”
