The fusion of art, fashion and sports reached a fever pitch Friday as the Bay Area buzzed with energy in anticipation of Super Bowl LX. To celebrate the second annual Q During the bowl, guests gathered at San Francisco’s famed Legion of Honor Museum to watch Thom Browne unveil his fall 2026 collection ahead of Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
Attendees, including Teyana Taylor and her two adorable daughters, arrived to enjoy sweeping views of the skyline, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, and walked through the museum’s neoclassical colonnade and into the magnificent interior, where the majesty of the building meets artwork spanning centuries. Wearing a customized charcoal suit by Thom Browne, GQ’s Global Editorial Director Will Welch is greeting friends from across the country. “San Francisco is such a beautiful city,” Welch said Fashion “It was a dream for the second year Q Bowl made Tom our partner. The excitement intensified as guests crowded into the museum’s extensive Rodin collection and drank a cocktail before the show. Faces from the worlds of music, sport and film – including fierce competition François Arnault, gymnast Sunitha Lee, industry Myha’la, Diplo, K-pop star Joshua Hong and Queen Latifah sat in the front row as the lights dimmed under the museum’s dramatic vaulted ceiling.
“The Bay Area has always been vibrant. There’s always new things happening here. I love being here,” Queen Latifah shared. “Thom Browne’s work feels at home in a place like this; it’s the perfect backdrop for his creativity.” Olympic medalist Lee also expressed excitement: “Thom Browne’s work is very classic and I’m looking forward to seeing all the new pieces, fabrics and different textures.”
The show is also GQ’s YouTube Channel – Model Vinnie Hacker and actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II sit at a modernist desk beneath Rodin three shadescreating a thoughtful, ritualistic tone. Abdul Mateen II’s voice soon filled the room as he read Dante’s Inferno.
The 63-look collection showcased Browne’s signature tailoring, punctuated by unexpected sporty touches (including custom Bose headphones), structured suiting and outerwear, and layered knit separates, which featured sports stars such as Marcus Allen, Justin Jefferson and DeAndre Hopkins on the runway.
“Sports are very important to me; athletes are one of my biggest inspirations,” an enthused Brown Fashion After the show. “At the Legion of Honor – home to the second most important Rodin collection in the world – I wanted to approach this space with true respect. Shortly after the show, guests filed back into the museum’s courtyard, past a wall covered in hand-selected vintage jerseys purchased on eBay for the after-party. DJ Kitty Ca$h soundtracked the scene from a booth next to the Rodin Gallery thinker, Meanwhile, a wave of dancers – dressed in Thom Browne, of course – turned to NuevaYol in homage to Bad Bunny’s upcoming halftime performance. Later, plates of mouth-watering fried chicken await you from Raising Cane’s Restaurant, the perfect end to the evening.
