Harlem’s recently reopened Studio Museum was forced to evacuate visitors on Friday and close over the weekend due to a “sprinkler emergency.”

The current “weekend closure” notice posted on the Studio Museum reads: “The museum will be closed from Saturday, January 24 to Sunday, January 25. We look forward to having you back on Wednesday, January 28.” (The museum is typically closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.) Since its reopening last fall, the Studio Museum has been under close scrutiny with the exhibition “From Now on: Collecting in Context,” which is on view until August 16. Other exhibitions include a survey of Tom Lloyd’s light sculptures (until March 22) and “From the Studio: Fifty-Eight Years of Artist in Residence” (until February 15).
