In the fashion world, early spring brings a welcome break from the deluge of fashion season content. Every New Year, right after the holidays, the men’s fashion shows begin, then the couture shows, and before we know it, we’re gearing up for four weeks of women’s ready-to-wear collections. Finally, it’s April, and while we’re looking forward to May’s slew of American resort collections and the Met Gala, this month offers a little respite from the usual hustle and bustle. Meanwhile, there are plenty of exhibitions here in New York, many of which are about the hottest trends for 2026, so dress up and go.
