Hike the legendary mountains of Zagorohoria

If you’ve crossed these islands off your bucket list and want to see a side of Greece that most tourists miss, head to Zagori (also known as Zagoro Horia). Home to stone villages and stunning trails in the Pindos Mountains, this northwestern region was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2023. Vikos Gorge is one of the most popular hiking routes, traversing one of the deepest gorges and winding through quiet villages and monasteries.
