“If you ask me what my favorite dish in the world is, it’s hard for me to answer because I’m a big foodie,” said Rosalia, FashionSpring 2026 cover star. “But I love, love tortilla potatoes.”
Lately, the singer has been trying to master a specific style of Spanish tortillas, she told writer Abby Aguirre in a cover story. “I’m fascinated by Betanzos,” she said. “It’s creamy on the inside. It’s more cooked on the outside.”
Fittingly, in the latest issue FashionIn the Now Serving video series where celebrities make their favorite dishes, Rosalía shows viewers how to make a Spanish potato omelette her way. in front of her Lux world tour and her role in the new season Euphoriashe takes us into the kitchen, where she cooks with her signature blend of chaos and heart (and plenty of onions).
While Rosalía is the first to admit that chopping onions isn’t her strong point (“I’m the worst at it,” she says), for her, cooking isn’t about perfection. “It doesn’t have to be perfect. What’s important is that it has vibe, has heart, and is made with love.”
“What I love about cooking is that it forces you to be there,” she continues. “So it’s a challenge for me to talk while I’m doing it. Usually I’m quiet, or dancing the salsa in my head.” She invites some friends to join her in opening some white wines—Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre (her first taste of Sancerre was with Pharrell Williams: “He knows all the good stuff.”)
“Pretty girls know how to open bottles, and they open bottles themselves,” she declared. (Attention everyone!). She swung the corkscrew, breaking the cork, but quickly recovered and held it together. She showed us the proper way to cheer: tap the glass, place it on the table, and take a sip. The last part is important. She shared a proverb in Spanish: “Whoever doesn’t put down the cup doesn’t fuck.”
Finally, Rosalia offers some wisdom on the art of cooking. “Having someone cook for you is something special and unbelievable,” she said. “If you’re lucky enough to have someone cook for you every day, that’s a privilege because it’s something we often take for granted. I think having someone cook for you is very special because it’s a love language.”
