When it comes to denim looks, no one can compare to Rihanna: “denim on denim on denim” is one of Rih Rih’s calling cards. The pop star and beauty mogul is still hanging out in New York supporting her costar A$AP Rocky while promoting his latest album, Don’t be stupidshe perfected her winter look in the city.
Rihanna attended the Amazon Music Presents A$AP Rocky Songline Live event and subsequent date night at El Puerto Seafood, wearing a zip-up denim bomber jacket paired with a fuzzy cream scarf and cuffed straight-leg jeans. To style the Canadian tuxedo, Rih used those familiar signature details: pointy leopard-print stilettos, a layered silver belt. There are also goggle-like sunglasses with red lenses. The glamor was on point too, with dark pencil lines and glossy brick red lips and smoky brown eyes finished with a thin stroke of cat eyeliner. Her long dark hair was tucked into a scarf in an Olsen style.
Loki, for his part, is equally stylish and Weather-appropriate options are a camo-print down jacket paired with a khaki hoodie, a graphic T-shirt paired with a long-sleeved white shirt, a giant silver religious figure pendant, a neon green and pink beanie, bleached jeans and brown sneakers.

The couple spent a busy few days in New York. This weekend, Rocky is the musical guest saturday night liveso Rih and Rocky turned the party into their own date night. Rihanna found her best high-low groove in a Yankees baseball cap, a sporty Saint Laurent blazer and a furry Prada coat. Meanwhile, Rocky donned a printed Chanel jacket from Matthieu Blazy’s recent Metro show. Rihanna has continued to support Rocky over the past week, opting for a Saint Laurent slip dress (with some Savage Fenty lingerie underneath, because she’s always the businesswoman) one night and a 2016-coded blazer and leggings combo (from Vaquera and Balenciaga) the next.

There are few trends and items that Rihanna can’t pull off (if anything), and she does it like Take a moment to slip into a Canadian tuxedo—a denim jacket on top, classic straight-leg jeans underneath—but she always styles it with her signature style codes. Rihanna-inspired denim looks are often paired with a pair of playful snakeskin boots and bold framed glasses. She made the outfit feel cool and nonchalant, natural rather than sensational.
