New York Fashion Week is coming to an end, and the city’s first lady, Rama Duwaji, made a special appearance at the Diotima Fall 2026 fashion show.
She wore a knee-length cream and brown plaid coat with wide lapels, a round-neck polka-dot shirt, and a mini trench coat underneath. Duwaji completed the look with a black tote bag embellished with metal buckles and black knee-high leather boots. Of course, her hair was “Rama,” with mini bangs and a messy bob that was somewhere between a bob and a pixie.
This is not the first time Duvaji has participated in Diotima’s performance. She sat front row at the spring 2026 fashion show. Diotima is a craft-led New York brand known for its glamorous crochet creations and sensual tailoring. Helmed by talented Jamaican woman Rachel Scott, Diotima embodies Duwaji’s own values. Now, as First Lady, she’s right to continue, like Scott, in championing the city’s talent, with a second show for her brand. (It was also a major New York Fashion Week appearance for the designer, who also launched her first full collection as creative director of Proenza Schouler.)
