Chopra’s first press tour outfit was based on a leather breastplate, which she actually wore in the film. “It’s handcrafted from leather and took three months to create by many craftsmen in Australia,” Chopra said. “When I first tried it on during production, I knew immediately I wanted to wear it as a dress to the premiere, but didn’t know how yet.” The star, who worked with costume designer Antoinette Messam on the production, added that many of the costumes in the film were based on classic seafaring stories. “Bloody Mary’s armor had to be designed, so we thought about what a pirate, especially a female pirate, would wear,” Chopra said. “She created this [character] It’s both beautiful and deadly. “
Starting at the top of the sculpture, Chopra’s debut ensemble develops further. The star worked with stylists Wayman and Micah to create a show-stopping final look, paired with a high-fashion skirt. “They suggested that the designers of Who Decide War in New York draw on Caribbean heritage,” Chopra said. “They’re cool, modern, and the designs have an edge. They made this beautiful skirt to go with the breastplate, which I think is the perfect combination of feminine and masculine.”

Chopra says that just like the way she dresses on the red carpet, she likes to think of her personal style as a form of storytelling. Lately, she’s been less focused on looking perfectly glamorous and more focused on being intentional and fun with her choices. “Honestly, I just want to have fun with it,” she said. “I think it would be great if fashion could be meaningful and representative. It should be an expression of who you are, and your expression needs to be true to whatever it is you want at the time.” She sees fashion as an art form – like a performance or performance. “As an actor, I think fashion is an emotion,” she said. “I try to think about how I felt that day. Last night, I wanted to feel intense.”
