Yangon – The Shan State Parliament has approved seven (7) ministers for the Shan State Government.
The first ordinary session of the third Shan State Parliament was held on Tuesday, April 7, the fifth day of the session. The list of seven (7) ministries and seven (7) ministers of state of the Government of Shan State was submitted to Parliament, and the Speaker declared that there was no objection and was approved.
In Shan State, (1) Colonel Sein Win was appointed Minister of Security and Border Affairs, (2) Dr La Seng was appointed Minister of Planning, Economy and Finance, (3) Daw Nan Kham Lu was appointed Minister of Social Affairs, (4) U Khun Than Htoo was appointed Minister of Electricity, Energy, Industry and Transport, (5) U Lin Aung Swe was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, (6) U Sai Wan Hlaing Thip Appointed Minister(7) U Khun Htun Phyu serves as Minister of Urban Development.
In addition, the parliament announced its approval of the nominations of U Sai Kyaw Zan as Attorney General of Shan State and Daw Khin Htwe Yi as Auditor General of Shan State as there was no objection.
Separately, Congress announced its approval of the nomination of U Thant U Lwin as state chief justice as there was no objection.
In addition, the following names have been submitted for appointment as State High Court Judges: (1) Daw Sandar Aung, (2) U Aung Maw and (3) Daw Thuzar Aung. There was no objection and the Assembly declared its approval.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives announced that the first ordinary session of the third Shan State Parliament was adjourned for the fifth day and will resume next Thursday.
