I was born in 1997, a year also known as the “Big Bang” in fashion, when, on the brink of the new millennium, nearly every runway was bursting with vibrant new ideas. It was just a few years removed from Marc Jacobs’ famous Spring 1993 Perry Ellis “grunge collection” and a year before his debut runway show at Louis Vuitton.
