It’s the start of a new year, which means a new season of awards show attire. If our favorite celebrities favored metallics and sequins at the 2025 Golden Globes, this year we noticed a strong early preference for the boldest colors.
Among the early arrivals at the 2026 Golden Globes, stars like Wunmi Mosaku, Laufey and Chase Sui Wonders sported electric colors in hues reminiscent of the colors found in boxes of crayons. Where did this new, almost neon taste come from? Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Balenciaga Spring 2026 debut included a variety of colors, and didn’t you know it? Laufey and Chase Sui Wonders both wore the designer’s dresses.
