Nili Lotan What does a cowboy look like? Those familiar with the Lotan brand’s style may not be surprised to see her Western ensemble featuring pinstriped vests, glam-rock silk ruffle shirts, cashmere argyle sweaters and nylon bomber jackets.
Lotan does not design by season or theme. “I design every week, and then, at some point, I stop and say, ‘Okay, this is a collection. Let’s get on with it,'” she explains. Her influences (military uniforms, glam rock, and the American West) are timeless, even if they wax and wane in any given season.
Fall 2026 has a decidedly Western flavor, thanks in large part to accessories. Don’t expect to get hit over the head with a cowboy hat, though. A belt with a large silver buckle served as the through line for much of the offering. “To me, that explains all of the collection, because it’s Western, but it’s very modern,” Lotan said. Elsewhere in the show, she paid homage to the men with a barrel-leg look in denim and suede.
Denim dominates the collection. Although Lotan only launched this division in 2020, she’s already become a one-stop denim shop for cool New York women. Now, she’s taking a big bet and just launched a denim-only store. This season, she’s showing off ultra-low-rise jeans, chambray shirts, and her beloved new wash Tribeca jeans alongside the men. The products will be sold out of shelves at Wild West Village.
