Mother, May I? A Denim-filled Downtown Disco to Celebrate the Brand’s Muse Paige Reifler

Mom knows how to throw a party. Deep in the heart of downtown, in Alphabet City, the all-American denim brand gathered a group of faces from the worlds of art, fashion, food and music to host a bash behind Joyface’s barely-marked doors. After throwing your jacket on the 1970s-style bar’s famous waterbed, scooping a slice of pizza from the Lucia box, and sipping a martini at the bar, it’s time to relax.

The look was reminiscent of the swinging ’70s, with disco balls lighting up the crowd’s flared jeans with M embroidered back pockets, varsity polo shirts and baby T-shirts. The brand’s co-founders, Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, and the party’s co-host, model Paige Reifler, walked around the room, all smiles amid a splatter of confetti. The celebration fittingly kicks off a just-released new collaboration that has been in the works for some time. “What a perfect night for Mom to celebrate Raifler; this series has been years in the making,” said an elated Raifler Fashion. “Everyone involved in this project is exceptional at what they do, and I feel so lucky to be able to work with so many incredible people.” Of course, Rifler’s own mother, Ash, was also proud, and she was in attendance.

The original Reifler jeans launched in 2024 and sold out within a week, and this expanded collection maintains the same retro-inspired, effortlessly cool vibe. “Paige was a dear friend and we were fortunate to work together for nearly a decade,” Kaeding said. “Designing her dream jeans and watching her creativity come to life through these beautiful campaigns is so inspiring.”

The party continued, more and more pizzas were delivered, and more and more people filled the club. Model Gabrielle Richardson hopped on DJ Mei Kwok’s retro playlist. Stylist Ian Bradley and actor Michael Seater mingled next to colorful gummies. and everyone Sometimes diving on the waterbed.
