“oops, Fashion! The one and only Miss Piggy shivered as she began to reexamine her modeling life. “Took you long enough, don’t you think?” “
To be fair, Miss Piggy has been redefining pig fashion since the mid-1970s (although we don’t know her) precise age, as a lady never tells), so she was definitely long overdue for giving us a tour of her closet – and oh, what a tour it turned out to be!
“I wanted a Roman-Greek goddess look, which as you can imagine is no exaggeration,” Miss Piggy giggled as she thought about the white and gold gown she wore. The Muppets go to HollywoodIn fact, she succeeded—almost as successfully as the silver tiara and curls she wore to the 1980 Oscars. Am I the only one who feels a little nostalgic for Miss Piggy’s country west phase? Bring back that purple cowboy hat!
But pink does better represent Miss Piggy’s speed—in fact, it’s one of her “many signature colors.” Case in point: the rose-colored feathered dress she wore in 1981 great ragdoll jumpdesigned by her long-time collaborator Calista Hendrickson.
Other high fashion moments followed, from Lela Rose’s eye-catching “glam and glitz” dress for Miss Piggy at the 2004 Emmy Awards to the deep purple dress Zac Posen made for her in 2011 to promote her The Muppets.
Is Miss Piggy happy she gets to share her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with the other Muppets? Not special…but at least the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress she wore in 2014 most popular muppets It’s hers and hers alone. “Despite that dress, I’m still not married,” snorted Miss Piggy. But who needs a ring on your finger when you’re always looking so glamorous and well-dressed?
