The beauty calendar is marked with several tents. From splurge-worthy sales to dazzling holiday collections, there’s a lot to look forward to…although few events are like performance signature makeup bag mixes. In the past, the brand was an annual collection, hiring designers from Simone Rocha and Proenza Schouler to create a version of Time to the House Code. The designer you chose this year? Only Brandon Maxwell.
“The opportunity to work with Creative Partners for our original signature bag design is a privilege,” said Aila Morin, Merit’s CMO. “It has become an annual project for us, a way to introduce our clients to brands we personally like and use. Brandon’s work has been on our mood board for many years – he is an iconic American designer who has similar sensibility to virtues and designs everyday classics, so it feels like it’s natural.”

This is not the first time the couple has worked together. They worked together for several seasons on the makeup of Maxwell’s runway show. It’s a wise match, given that both approach modern women in a minimalist way. This is something that the two of them doubled for the bag design.
“The blend of soft and hard is the initial foundation of our collaboration,” Maxwell said. “Knot details are my staple food I’ve used for years, and it feels like a deliberate choice for the Brandon Maxwell brand and our development.”
Although it didn’t debut on the track at Maxwell’s Spring Summer 2026 show, it could have watched it home on the track. “The knot enhances the look and brings Flair without being too flashy,” Maxwell continued. “It’s a woman of confidence, independence and strength who lives with her throughout the day.”

But this is not where the partnership ends. Meatit also debuted its new iconic lipstick on Shade Maxwell, a Mauvy-containing Mauvy, a satin finish that complements any skin tone – with a silver wrapping that is written by Maxwell. “It’s always exciting to work with partners who are aligned with nature – not only in aesthetics, but also in the kind of women we design and how we approach beautiful women.”
