Live from New York…I’m Teyana Taylor!
Last night, the celebrity hosted saturday night liveand she was the perfect choice to do so. The first-time Oscar nominee arrived in the midst of the awards season campaign, inspired by her arresting performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson film. one battle after another. Her opening monologue look included a sequined white “I Love New York” T-shirt with removable red furry sleeves and black leather pants. This is a piece that makes perfect sense both thematically and personally: Taylor was born and raised in Harlem. “I’m a Harlem girl and I love New York—but it freezing “Here,” she joked. (She’s not wrong: New York is in the middle of a brutal snowstorm.) “No wonder us New Yorkers are so excited—because, bitch, we’re cold!”
In a promotional video for her collaboration with Geese, Taylor also showed off an edgy all-leather look that also screamed downtown. The burgundy crop top, opera-length gloves and pink skirt are from designer Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut Balenciaga Spring 2026 collection for the brand.
