The former Victoria’s Secret CEO has come under new scrutiny after a recently released slew of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein suggested the convicted sex offender had a deeper relationship with collector Leslie Wexner than some had previously thought.
An email from an FBI official released to the public this week mentioned potential “co-conspirators” who worked with Epstein. While the email was heavily redacted like other documents released by the Justice Department on Dec. 23, the message apparently referred to Wexner, the collector of the same name at the Wexner Art Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Epstein and Wexner’s professional relationship is well documented. Epstein managed Wexner’s finances and even served as a trustee for the businessman’s foundation. according to new york timesEpstein once owned a property near the Wexner estate.
But some claim Wexner may have known about Epstein’s crimes. Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein’s victims, mentioned Wexner in her memoir and urged readers not to “be fooled by those … who claim to have no idea.”
